Never In Our ‘Wildest Dreams’: Alliston Plumbing Company Sees Business Boom After Eras Tour-Themed House Calls
ALLISTON—Following a prompt from the local business-improvement association, a group of local plumbers are hoping to attract the attention of Swifties in need of plumbing services by performing Eras Tour-Themed house calls in November.
"We offer a variety of services related to repairs and installations all while sporting our Eras outfits and playing Taylor's Versions from our phones," Paul Adler, the fifty-three-year-old owner of the business told reporters. "Frank Torelli, for example, sprayed glitter on his wrenches and wears a T-shirt with 'Look What You Made Me Do' beside a picture of an expertly installed, high-end bathtub."
While not previously a fan of the pop icon's music, Adler says he's thankful for the marketing opportunity, is seeing an uptick in service calls, and believes that sometime soon someone is going to describe Plumbing Bros' house calls as "a vibe."
Other businesses of Alliston are jumping on board with Greely and Fastaldi Barristers and Solicitors now offering a Swiftie package on last will and testaments.
"The copy of all documents we send home now comes with a pink lipstick kiss stain, your choice of lyrics on the letterhead, and a complimentary scarf," Greely told the Alliston Gerald in an email. "In our office, we have this cat now. We're going for the cottage-core aesthetic found on the album, Folklore. Oh, by the way, the lipstick kiss prints are done personally by Fastaldi."
As for Alliston’s Service Ontario, they’re working on a promotional Youtube video wherein the staff will sing a rewritten version of Taylor Swift’s ‘Blank Space’ to promote their office in Alliston and celebrate Taylor Swift’s string of concerts in Toronto.
The lyrics are said to be as follows:
"Got a long list of required documents/And signatures to obtain/But I've got a blank health card renewal form/And I'll write your name."
